Kerrick Corral Horse Camp is a free equestrian campground in the Summit Ranger District of Stanislaus National Forest, providing access to backcountry trails and wilderness areas. At 6,970 feet elevation, the camp offers a staging area for pack trips with designated campsites suitable for horses and pack animals. This is a primitive facility with vault toilets and picnic tables but no potable water. Campers must bring an adequate water supply and pack out all trash following Leave No Trace principles. Maximum occupancy is six people per site with a 14-day stay limit. A free California campfire permit is required for any open flame, obtainable at preventwildfireca.org or local ranger stations. The campground is accessed via Highway 108 to Crabtree Road (4N26) near Aspen Meadow Pack Station on road 4N25. Contact the Summit Ranger District at (209) 965-3434 for current conditions.
