About

Teal Spring Campground sits in the rugged Blue Mountains of southeastern Washington within the Umatilla National Forest's Pomeroy Ranger District. The campground provides striking panoramic views of the Tucannon River drainage and the adjacent Wenaha-Tucannon Wilderness, one of the most remote wilderness areas in Washington state. The site serves as a convenient base for Off-Highway Vehicle enthusiasts, with OHV trails accessible from the area, though motorized and mechanized use is prohibited within the nearby Wenaha-Tucannon Wilderness. Day hikers will find trailheads leading into the wilderness for those seeking a more primitive backcountry experience. Facilities are basic, with two vault toilets and picnic tables provided. Campers must bring their own drinking water as none is available on site. Stock users should note that weed-free feed is required for animals. The campground is accessed via Forest Service Road 40, approximately 54 minutes from Pomeroy, Washington.
