About

Teal Spring Campground sits in the Blue Mountains of southeastern Washington within the Umatilla National Forest's Pomeroy Ranger District. This small, primitive campground features 14 sites, with half designated for tents only and the remaining sites accommodating both tents and trailers. The campground offers spectacular views of the Tucannon drainage and the Wenaha-Tucannon Wilderness. The location is particularly popular with Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) enthusiasts due to proximity to OHV trails and camping opportunities. Day hikers also frequent the area to access trails leading toward the Wenaha-Tucannon Wilderness, though motorized and mechanized use within the wilderness itself is prohibited. Basic amenities include picnic tables and restroom facilities, but no potable water is available on-site. Reached via Forest Service Road 40 and a short spur road, the campground sits at approximately 8.7 miles from the National Forest boundary. The remote setting provides an off-grid camping experience ideal for those seeking solitude and backcountry access. Weed-free feed is required for stock animals in the area.
