About

Teal Spring Campground sits in the Umatilla National Forest's Pomeroy Ranger District, offering a spectacular vantage point overlooking the Tucannon drainage and the 177,000-acre Wenaha-Tucannon Wilderness. This small, scenic campground sees light use, making it an appealing choice for those seeking solitude in the Blue Mountains of southeastern Washington. The campground caters primarily to off-highway vehicle enthusiasts and day hikers. OHV trails branch out from the area, though motorized and mechanized use within the adjacent Wenaha-Tucannon Wilderness is strictly prohibited. Equestrians should note that weed-free feed is required for stock animals. Facilities are minimal: two vault toilets and picnic tables are provided, but there is no potable water. Campers must bring their own drinking water and should be prepared for a primitive, pack-it-in experience. The campground operates seasonally from May through November, with no fees or reservations required.
