About

Forest Boundary Campground sits at the gateway to the Umatilla National Forest, approximately 20 minutes south of Pomeroy, Washington. The campground offers dramatic views overlooking Scoggin's Ridge, making it a prime spot for watching sunsets. With no fees required, this is an ideal stop for budget-conscious campers seeking a basic but scenic camping experience. The campground is particularly popular with OHV riders, as the North and South ATV trailheads are located nearby. These trails are dedicated to vehicles under 50 inches wide. While OHV riding is not permitted within the campground itself, campers may ride to their campsite and back to the trails. Neighboring recreational areas include Boundary Snow Park, Wooten State Wildlife Area, and Arbothknott Canyon. Amenities are minimal at this primitive site. A single vault toilet is available, but campers must bring their own drinking water as no potable water is provided. Picnic tables are available at the site.

Directions

From Pomeroy, Washington: Starting at Main Street, take 15th Street headed south for approximately 18 miles until you approach the forest boundary. Immediately after crossing the cattle guard, turn left into Forest Boundary Campground. Drive time is approximately 20 minutes.
