About

Sunglow Campground is nestled in a scenic red rock box canyon in the Fishlake National Forest, just 2 miles from the town of Bicknell, Utah. At 7,276 feet elevation, the campground provides a striking high-desert setting with red rock scenery and limited shade from cottonwoods and junipers. The facility includes 7 standard nonelectric sites and 2 group sites, each accommodating up to 20 people with space for 5 vehicles. Amenities include flush toilets and potable drinking water available from a hand pump during the May through September operating season. Picnic tables are provided at sites. The campground has no hookups, showers, or dump station, and campers must pack out all trash as no garbage service is available. Campfires are permitted but firewood must be brought from outside the area. The location offers excellent access to recreation opportunities including hiking, mountain biking, and OHV trails. The Great Western Trail passes nearby, and Capitol Reef National Park is within easy day-trip distance. The paved access road leads to gravel roads and parking spurs within the campground that can accommodate trailers up to 55 feet.
