About

Stovepipe Wells Campground is a seasonal, first-come, first-served campground located at sea level in Death Valley National Park. Operating typically from mid-October through April 15th, the campground offers 190 sites including 28 tent-only sites equipped with fire grates. The campground provides excellent views of Death Valley proper and the iconic Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes. The campground features a flat dirt and gravel surface suitable for RVs, though sites are relatively narrow and short. All sites are ADA-friendly with level terrain and accessible restroom facilities. Seasonal amenities include potable water, flush toilets, and a dump station. The campground has a pay station where fees are collected via credit or debit card. Generator use is permitted from 7 AM to 7 PM, and quiet hours are enforced from 10 PM to 7 AM. Adjacent to the Stovepipe Wells Village, campers have access to a general store, ranger station, and can purchase passes for the pool and showers at the privately operated facilities. Firewood and ice are available for purchase. Each site can accommodate one recreational vehicle with tow, two cars, or four motorcycles, with a maximum of 8 people per site. Stays are limited to 30 consecutive days, and check-out time is noon.
