Springdale Campground sits at 9,250 feet elevation in Pike National Forest, just 1.7 miles east of Woodland Park on Rampart Range Road (Forest Development Road 300). This intimate campground features 13 sites available exclusively on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations accepted. The campground is a standard, nonelectric facility offering vault toilets and picnic tables at each site, but campers must bring their own water as none is provided on-site. The campground accommodates RVs up to 30 feet in length, though space is tight for larger vehicles. Each site includes room for two vehicles or one RV, with a third vehicle allowed for an additional fee. Pets are welcome but must be leashed at all times. The facility is conveniently located just 3.5 miles from Rampart Reservoir Recreation Area, making it an ideal base camp for exploring the surrounding Pike National Forest. Access is via gravel roads, and the campground operates seasonally from late May through early September depending on weather and snow conditions. Fees can be paid on-site via cash, check, or money order at the self-service fee station. Standard Forest Service rules apply, including quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and camping is not permitted behind locked gates.
