Red Rocks Group Campground offers a rustic group camping experience in the ponderosa pine forest of Pike National Forest at 8,200 feet elevation. Located just 4 miles north of Woodland Park off Highway 67, this single-site facility can accommodate large groups of up to 100 people and 44 vehicles. The campground features a communal campfire circle with benches, picnic tables throughout, vault toilets, and potable water. The Red Rocks Trail leads from the campground to a striking red sandstone formation that gives the area its name. The paved Centennial Bike Trail provides accessible connections to Manitou Lake Picnic Area, Colorado Campground, and South Meadows Campground, making it popular with hikers, cyclists, and rollerbladers. Manitou Lake, a short drive away, offers trout fishing and canoeing. Nearby attractions include Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs (about 20 miles southeast) and Pikes Peak west of Manitou Springs (about 15 miles away). The Rainbow Falls and North Divide OHV Trail Systems are available for off-road vehicle enthusiasts. Woodland Park provides gas, groceries, dining, and shopping.

Directions

From Colorado Springs, take Highway 24 west approximately 18 miles to the junction with Highway 67 in Woodland Park. Turn right (north) on Highway 67 and drive about 4 miles. Turn right (east) on Forest Road 335. The campground entrance is 0.2 miles on the left.
