About

Manitou Lake Pavilion is a group day-use picnic facility situated on the west side of Manitou Lake within Pike National Forest. At 7,700 feet elevation, the area features a mix of grassy meadows and ponderosa pines surrounding the scenic 5-acre reservoir fed by Trout Creek. The pavilion is ideal for family gatherings, reunions, and group events. The accessible open-air pavilion can accommodate approximately 25 people with tables or 50 with chairs only. Facilities include vault toilets, potable water hydrants available during peak season, a large cooking grill with fire grates, and group picnic tables. No generators, amplified music, electricity, or public address systems are permitted. Swimming and body contact with the reservoir water is prohibited, though fishing is allowed year-round. The paved Centennial Bike Trail connects the picnic area to nearby Painted Rocks and South Meadows Campgrounds. A hiking trail loops around the lake, and the area is popular for birding with diverse waterfowl and land bird species. Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak are nearby attractions.
