About
Spring Bar Campground sits along the Salmon River in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests, serving as a popular take-out point for river floaters. The campground offers 18 tent campsites, most with picnic tables and fire rings, plus a boat launching ramp for river access. The south end of the campground is nestled in the shade of various fruit-bearing trees. The surrounding area offers fishing, swimming, berry picking, and general exploring. Riggins Hot Springs is located across the river just west of the campground on private land. Wheelchair accessible picnic facilities are available at Allison Creek to the west. This is a primitive campground with vault toilets and potable water from a hand pump. No hookups, dump stations, or garbage services are provided. Campers must pack out all trash.
Directions
From Riggins go east 6.5 miles on Big Salmon Road then north on Forest Road 1614 for 4 miles.
