Open — Open for reservations year-round at $175 per night. Reservation dates are subject to inclement weather and road conditions on the Catalina Highway. The road to the cabin is not plowed when there is snow, so the cabin may be temporarily closed during heavy snowfall. Check-in is 2:00 p.m., check-out is 11:00 a.m.

About

Sollers Cabin is a historic two-story, six-room cabin rental located in the Santa Catalina Mountains of Coronado National Forest, approximately one hour from Tucson, Arizona. The cabin comfortably accommodates up to eight people and features three bedrooms each with queen-sized beds, a living room with two queen-size futons, a dining room with seating for eight, 1.5 bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen. The newly added sunroom provides a peaceful space for morning coffee or reading. The kitchen includes an electric stove and oven, microwave, refrigerator, pots, pans, utensils, dishes, toaster, and coffee pot. The cabin has electricity, electric heating (no air conditioning), and running water. Guests need to bring their own supplies including food, sleeping bags, linens, pillows, towels, dish soap, matches, first aid kit, toilet paper, and garbage bags. The fireplace inside the cabin is not available for use, but fires are allowed in the outdoor fire ring unless fire restrictions are in effect. The cabin is accessed through a locked gate with a combination lock, and the house key is in a lockbox on the back door. The road to the cabin is not plowed when there is snow. Sollers Cabin provides excellent access to recreational opportunities including hiking, camping, birding, horseback riding, picnicking, mountain biking, rock climbing, and visiting historic areas. Nearby attractions include Rose Canyon Lake for fishing, Mt. Lemmon Ski Valley (the southernmost ski area in the United States), the Sky Island Scenic Byway, Summerhaven, Sabino Canyon Recreation Area, and Saguaro National Park East. The location sits within the diverse biozones of the Santa Catalina Mountains sky island, ranging from Sonoran Desert to subalpine forest.

Directions

From northeast Tucson, take East Tanque Verde Road to East Catalina Highway. Turn left (north) on East Catalina Highway, which becomes the General Hitchcock Highway, for approximately 18.5 miles, then turn left on Sollers Road. Continue on Sollers Road for approximately a mile.
