About

Seedhouse Group Site provides a private mountain setting for large gatherings at 8,000 feet elevation in the Routt National Forest. Located near the Elk River and just miles from Steamboat Springs, the campground serves as a basecamp for fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding in the Park Range. The nearby Mt. Zirkel Wilderness offers excellent backcountry opportunities. The facility features 8 primitive tent sites with campfire rings and picnic tables, plus a sheltered pavilion that seats 20 guests. A group fire ring provides a central gathering spot. Bear-proof food storage lockers and trash receptacles are provided for visitor safety. Vault toilets are available on site. Note that potable water is not available; campers should bring their own drinking water. The group site can accommodate RV trailers up to 30 feet, though no hookups are provided. Visitors may also enjoy nearby Steamboat Lake State Park or explore the extensive trail systems throughout the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests.
