About

Pearl Lake State Park offers a quieter alternative to nearby Steamboat Lake, with 36 campsites spread across two distinct areas. The lakeside loop places campers directly along the water's edge, while the upper loop provides elevated sites with panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains including the Zirkel Wilderness. Each site includes a fire ring, picnic table, and tent pad. The 167-acre lake operates under wakeless boating regulations, creating a peaceful atmosphere for fishing, paddling, and wildlife viewing. Pearl Lake is stocked with cutthroat trout and also holds rainbow and brook trout. Over 21 miles of trails connect to the adjacent national forest. Two yurts remain available year-round, requiring snowshoe, ski, or snowmobile access (0.5 miles) during winter months. The campground provides vault and flush toilets plus water hydrants but no showers, dump station, or hookups. One campsite and yurt 6 offer wheelchair accessibility.
