About

River Point Campground occupies a prime location on the west shore of Seeley Lake, bordered by the Clearwater River to the north. The 27 RV/tent sites are nestled beneath towering old-growth Western Larch trees, many over 500 years old and several feet in diameter. Five sites offer direct riverfront access. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring with grill, and paved parking stall. Accessible vault toilets and drinking water are available throughout. The campground provides easy access to swimming, fishing, biking, and paddling. A roped swimming beach and day-use picnic area are a short walk from the campsites. The Clearwater Canoe Trailhead just north offers 3.5 miles of flat water ideal for wildlife viewing, including blue herons and river otters. Community trails pass through the campground, providing non-motorized access to town and surrounding forest lands. Nearby attractions include the Girard Grove, home to "Gus," a Western Larch over 1,000 years old. The historic Camp Paxson is visible across the Clearwater River. Bald eagles and osprey frequent the area. The town of Seeley Lake offers boat rentals, guide services, restaurants, and groceries. Glacier National Park is a day trip away.
