About
Seeley Lake Campground is located on the western shore of Seeley Lake, a glacial-formed lake situated in a valley between the Swan and Mission mountain ranges. The lake is part of the 'Chain of Lakes' through which the Clearwater River flows. The campground is well known for its picturesque views of the Swan Range and for its towering Western larch trees, many over 500 years old. The campground offers 29 campsites with access to swimming, boating, fishing, and wildlife viewing. Anglers can cast for Kokanee salmon, bass, whitefish, pike, trout, and perch. Water skiing is popular on the lake. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring. Flush toilets are available, though potable water is not currently provided on-site. A volunteer campground host is present during the operating season. Nearby recreation includes the Clearwater Canoe Trail just north of Seeley Lake, offering 3.5 miles of flat water ideal for viewing wildlife such as blue herons and river otters. The Morrell Falls National Recreation Trail provides an incredible day hike exploring recent burns, dense forests, and a large waterfall. The town of Seeley Lake, 4 miles away, offers groceries, gas, and boat rentals.
Directions
