About

Hidden Lake Campground is a small, primitive camping area located southwest of Seeley Lake in Montana's Lolo National Forest. The campground sits along a 33-acre kettle lake on the western edge of the Clearwater Valley, offering a quiet escape for anglers and paddlers seeking solitude. The lake is stocked with westslope cutthroat trout, making it a worthwhile destination for fishing. Non-motorized boats are permitted, perfect for float tubes, canoes, and kayaks. The campground has five designated dispersed sites and operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations. This is truly primitive camping with no developed facilities. There are no restrooms, potable water, or picnic tables. Campers must bring all water and pack out all trash. A food and wildlife attractant storage order is in effect. Pets are permitted but must be kept on a 6-foot leash. Horses and pack animals are not allowed.

Directions

From the town of Seeley Lake, head south on MT-83 S for 1 mile, then turn right onto Cedar Lane. Continue on Cedar Lane into Riverview Drive, then turn right on Beaver Creek Road to Hidden Lake Road (FS Road 17662). Total distance from Cedar Lane is approximately 8.7 miles.
