About
Lake Inez Point 6 is a group campsite within Lake Inez Campground on the eastern shore of 314-acre Lake Inez in Lolo National Forest. The site sits at 4,100 feet elevation in a dense conifer forest that provides privacy while limiting direct lake views. The group site features private lake access, making it ideal for groups interested in water-based recreation. Lake Inez is part of the Chain of Lakes through which the Clearwater River flows, situated in a valley between the Swan and Mission Mountain ranges. The lake is popular for motorized and non-motorized boating, fishing (salmon, pike, trout, perch), jet skiing, swimming, and water skiing. A primitive unpaved boat ramp is available. The Clearwater Canoe Trail is just a few miles south, offering 3.5 miles of flat water paddling with wildlife viewing opportunities. The group site has tables, fire rings with grills, and an accessible vault toilet. No potable water is available; campers must bring their own supply. Trash must be packed out. Bears frequent the area, and food storage orders require all attractants be stored in locked vehicles or bear-resistant containers. Seeley Lake is about a 10-minute drive south with full services including gas, groceries, and restaurants.
Directions
From the junction of Montana Highways 200 and 83 (Clearwater Junction), travel north on Highway 83 for approximately 15 miles to Seeley Lake. Continue north on Highway 83 for about 9 miles. The campground entrance is on the west side of the highway.
