Rasar State Park Campground

Open — Open year-round. Due to recent flooding, trails to the field and river remain closed while flood waters recede. Water in the campground is off for winter until April 2026; potable water is available at the dump station. Adirondack site 42 is temporarily closed for storm damage repairs.

Located nine miles west of Concrete in the Cascade foothills, Rasar State Park Campground offers a peaceful retreat along the Skagit River. The 180-acre camping park features 4,000 feet of freshwater shoreline with sandy and rocky beaches, forested campsites, and open grassy fields with mountain views. The campground includes over 50 sites ranging from primitive hiker/biker sites to RV sites with water and electric hookups, plus rental cabins and group camps. The park features 3.7 miles of hiking trails that wind through forest and fields to the river, including a one-mile ADA-accessible trail. Visitors can enjoy fishing for all five species of Pacific salmon and steelhead trout, though a Washington recreational license is required. The park is particularly popular for wildlife viewing, with bald eagles feeding on chum salmon along the shore during fall and winter months. Additional amenities include a covered kitchen shelter, amphitheater, playgrounds, volleyball and horseshoe pits, clean restrooms with showers, and a dump station. Campsites are spacious and heavily wooded, each equipped with picnic tables and fire rings. The campground operates year-round with some seasonal service changes during winter months. Interpretive and Junior Ranger programs are offered on weekends between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Rasar State Park is located at 38730 Cape Horn Road, Concrete, WA 98237. From I-5, take exit 230 for WA-20 E toward Burlington/Anacortes. Continue on WA-20 E for approximately 23 miles. Turn right onto Cape Horn Road; the park entrance will be on your right.
