About

Panorama Point Campground occupies a scenic position on the western shore of Baker Lake in Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. The campground offers nine standard sites that accommodate both tent camping and RVs up to 35 feet, with several sites positioned directly at the lake's edge and others tucked under a canopy of old-growth forest. A paved boat launch and parking area at the campground entrance makes this a popular staging point for boating and fishing, particularly during sockeye salmon season when launch traffic is heavy. The surrounding area showcases the dramatic landscape of the North Cascades, with glacier-covered Mt. Baker rising to 10,781 feet as the most prominent feature. Hikers have access to excellent trails including the 13-mile Baker Lake Trail along the eastern shoreline and the Baker River Trail leading into North Cascades National Park. Anderson Point, 2.5 miles from the Baker Lake trailhead, offers views of both Mt. Baker and Mt. Shuksan. Drinking water is available from faucets but not for RV hose hookups. Vault toilets and a day-use picnic area with panoramic lake views round out the facilities. The campground operates seasonally from May through September, with a mix of sites available through Recreation.gov reservations and first-come, first-served.
