About

Bayview Campground occupies a scenic position along Baker Lake in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Completely reconstructed in 2017, the campground offers 24 standard nonelectric sites suitable for tents, RVs, and trailers up to 28 feet, plus one group site that accommodates up to 50 people. Each site features a picnic table, fire ring with grill, and tent pad. Vault toilets are available throughout, but campers must bring all their own water as none is available on site. The surrounding area provides excellent recreation opportunities. Baker Lake is within walking distance and popular for boating, water skiing, canoeing, fishing, and swimming. A family-friendly trail winds approximately one mile around the campground connecting to Horseshoe Cove, where boat ramps are available. The nearby Baker Lake Trail offers an easy hike through stands of Douglas fir with views of the eastern shoreline. Just south of the campground, the Shadow of the Sentinels Trail provides an accessible interpretive experience through 500-year-old ancient forest. The asphalt and boardwalk trail features grades no greater than 8% with displays explaining forest dynamics. On clear days, Mt. Baker dominates the landscape at 10,781 feet elevation. The nearest fuel and phone services are 25 miles away.
