About

Horseshoe Cove Campground is nestled in a forested setting along the western shore of Baker Lake, with pathways connecting campsites to the lakeshore. Facilities include flush toilets, potable water, picnic tables, and fire rings at each site. A large sandy swimming beach and gravel boat launch with parking provide excellent lake access. The surrounding Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest offers spectacular recreation opportunities. The Baker Lake Trail begins at the south end of the lake and travels 13 miles along the eastern shoreline, with Anderson Point providing views of Mt. Baker and Mt. Shuksan at 2.5 miles. The Baker River Trail at the north end follows the river 2.25 miles through old-growth forest into North Cascades National Park. On clear days, visitors can see glacier-covered Mt. Baker rising to 10,781 feet.
