About

Park Creek Campground is situated in a tranquil old-growth forested setting along the banks of Park Creek in the stunning Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. This smaller campground is located in close proximity to the shores of Baker Lake and offers 12 campsites that accommodate both tent and RV camping. The forested surroundings feature huge Douglas fir and cedar trees, creating a peaceful atmosphere for campers seeking a quieter alternative to larger campgrounds in the area. The campground serves as an excellent basecamp for exploring the Baker Lake basin and surrounding wilderness. Trails in the area range from smooth paths meandering through deep quiet forests to challenging ascents up boulder-studded mountains. The nearby Shadow of the Sentinels Trail is a barrier-free interpretive trail winding through 500-year-old ancient forest, while the Baker Lake Trail offers an easy family hike along the eastern shoreline of the lake. In addition to hiking, the area provides opportunities for boating and fishing in summer and early fall, with Baker Lake home to kokanee, bull trout, rainbow trout, sockeye salmon, and mountain whitefish. The Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest showcases rugged peaks, sparkling alpine lakes, and old-growth forests. Mount Baker, rising to 10,781 feet, dominates the landscape with its perpetually snow-capped summit and extensive network of glaciers. Wildlife in the area includes mountain goats at higher elevations, black bears in the forests, and numerous migratory birds. The campground's location also provides convenient access to the Mount Baker Wilderness and North Cascades National Park for extended exploration.
