About

Located in the heart of Perry County on 923 acres, Little Buffalo State Park campground provides a family-friendly camping experience with 46 modern campsites. The campground includes a variety of site types, from walk-to tent sites to full-service RV sites with electric and water hookups. All campsites come equipped with picnic tables and fire rings. The modern campground facilities include flush toilets, hot showers, and drinking water, with a sanitary dump station available for RVs. Pets are permitted on all campsites. In addition to traditional campsites, the park offers three rustic camping cottages that sleep five people each, with electric heat and lights. A year-round ADA accessible lodge sleeping 12 is also available. The park itself offers extensive recreational opportunities including swimming in a fee-based pool with waterslides, boating and fishing on Holman Lake, hiking trails, and 300 acres of hunting land. The location in Juniata Township provides a peaceful setting while remaining accessible from PA Route 322.

Directions

From PA 322, take the Newport Exit and follow PA 34 south through the town of Newport. One mile from town, turn right onto Little Buffalo Road to the park entrance (4.6 miles from PA 322).
