About

Pueblo Park Campground occupies a large, cool stand of old-growth ponderosa pines at 6,167 feet elevation in the Glenwood Ranger District of Gila National Forest. The campground borders the northern edge of the Blue Range Wilderness, one of the most remote wilderness areas in the Southwest. The campground serves as a staging area for backcountry exploration, with Dangerous Park Trail #515 departing from the northern end and WS Mountain Trail #43 beginning just south of the entrance. Activities include hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing. This is a primitive, no-fee campground with vault toilets and picnic tables at each site. Campers must bring their own water as none is available. A 14-day stay limit applies. OHVs, ATVs, hunting, shooting, and stock animals are prohibited within the campground. Pets are allowed on leash.
