About

Pine Cove Campground occupies a prime lakefront location on Dillon Reservoir near the town of Frisco in Summit County, Colorado. At approximately 9,000 feet elevation, the campground offers views of Swan Mountain and the dramatic Gore and Tenmile ranges that encircle the 3,233-acre reservoir. The campground operates on a first-come-first-served basis with no advance reservations. Sites accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs, though the campground is relatively compact. Vault toilets and potable water are available on site. Dillon Reservoir supports rainbow, brown, and occasional cutthroat trout, making it popular for fishing. Non-motorized watercraft can be launched from shore, while motorboats must launch from Dillon Marina after a mandatory aquatic nuisance species inspection. The area provides excellent access to hiking, biking, and winter sports. Arapahoe Basin, Keystone, Breckenridge, and Copper Mountain ski resorts are all within 10 miles. A 14-day camping limit applies within any 30-day period, and food storage orders are in effect from May 15 through October 1.
