About

Percy Quin State Park is a 1,700-acre recreation area surrounding 490-acre Lake Tangipahoa in southern Mississippi, originally constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. The park features 102 paved, full-hookup RV campsites with picnic tables and grills, including 20 premium lakefront sites. All RV sites provide 50/30/20 amp electrical service, water, and sewer connections. For tent campers, 50 primitive sites are available, including innovative premium primitive tent platforms that are elevated 16ft x 10ft wooden structures keeping campers off the ground. Four modern bathhouses with hot showers serve the campground area. Beyond camping, the park offers extensive recreational facilities including an 18-hole championship golf course, boat launch and 36-slip marina on Lake Tangipahoa, tennis courts, picnic pavilions, playgrounds, nature trails, and a convention center. A swimming pool is available to overnight guests from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The park also features 27 vacation cabins, cottages, motel rooms, and a group camp facility. Located just 90 minutes from New Orleans and minutes from Interstate 55, Percy Quin combines natural beauty with modern conveniences in a scenic lakeside setting.

Directions

From Interstate 55, take Exit 13. Turn onto Airport Fernwood Road, then right onto Highway 48 and travel 0.4 miles. The park entrance is on the left.
