About

Fairview-Riverside State Park occupies a beautiful stretch along the Tchefuncte River in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana. The campground is shaded by towering live oak trees draped in Spanish moss, creating a quintessential Louisiana bayou atmosphere. With 101 campsites divided among premium, improved, and unimproved loops, the park accommodates everything from tent campers to large RVs up to 55 feet. The improved and premium sites feature water and electric hookups, while unimproved sites offer a more primitive experience. All campers have access to modern bathhouses with flush toilets, hot showers, and laundry facilities. Two dump stations serve RV campers. Throughout the park you'll find picnic tables, fire rings, and two playgrounds for families. The Tchefuncte River provides excellent fishing opportunities for bass, bluegill, white perch, bream, and where it meets Lake Pontchartrain, channel catfish, speckled trout, and redfish. A boat launch provides river access, and a waterfront boardwalk extends through the swamp. The quarter-mile nature trail is ADA accessible. History enthusiasts can tour the Otis House Museum, an 1880s sawmill owner's home on the property.
