About
Bob M. Dearing Natchez State Park is situated on 2,893 acres of rolling, wooded terrain just north of historic Natchez, Mississippi. The park centers around the 45-acre Lake Natchez, which offers excellent fishing for bass, bream, catfish, and crappie. The campground provides a peaceful retreat for RVers and tent campers alike, with mature trees providing shade throughout the camping areas. The park features two improved campgrounds separated by approximately two miles, both offering concrete pads accessible by paved roads. Sites include water and electric hookups with 15/30/50 amp service, and select sites (1-6) offer full hookups with sewer connections. Each site includes a picnic table, BBQ grill, and fire pit. Clean bathhouses with hot showers, flush toilets, and coin-operated laundry facilities serve both campgrounds, and each has a dump station. Beyond camping, visitors can enjoy hiking trails, a playground, boat rentals, and the park's nature programs. The park's proximity to Natchez makes it an ideal base for exploring the area's antebellum architecture, the Natchez Trace Parkway, and the Mississippi River bluffs.
