About
Bob M. Dearing Natchez State Park Campground sits on 48,000 acres of serene Mississippi landscapes just 10 miles north of Natchez, the oldest settlement on the Mississippi River. The campground features two developed camping areas with 50 RV sites total, each equipped with picnic tables, grills, water, and electrical hookups (50/30/20 amp). Sites 1-6 offer full hookups including sewer, while the remaining sites provide water and electricity with access to central dump stations in both Campground A and B. Modern bathhouses provide hot showers, and Campground B includes coin-operated laundry facilities. For tent campers, eight primitive sites are nestled in a wooded area near the developed campground, available on a first-come, first-served basis with access to picnic tables and bathhouse facilities. The park's centerpiece is Natchez Lake, famous for producing Mississippi's record largemouth bass at 18.15 pounds in 1992. The lake is well-stocked with catfish, bream, and largemouth bass, with a convenient boat launch available. Additional recreational amenities include a 9-hole amateur disc golf course, a 3/4-mile nature trail starting in Campground B, playground, and picnic pavilion. The park also offers 10 newly renovated lakeside vacation cabins.
