Open year-round. Gate hours are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Quiet hours from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Campfire permits required. The Bogue Chitto River is subject to flash flooding with submerged hazards. Tubing and kayak rentals available May through September only.

At Bogue Chitto State Park, visitors will experience a diversity of natural habitats on one of the most dynamic and scenic river systems in Louisiana perfect for tubing, canoeing or kayaking. The 1,786-acre park also includes small streams, cypress tupelo swamps, numerous fishing ponds, and various wildlife. The hardwood forest, pine habitat and a rolling landscape offer a unique trail system for the true outdoor adventurer whether traveling by foot, bike, or horse. Little campers will love the water playground and the whole family will enjoy the numerous picnic pavilions and beach. Overnight visitors will find accommodations from tent or RV camping to cabins overlooking the bluffs. For larger groups and family reunions, the park offers a group camp and a conference room.
