About

Established in 1975, Patagonia Lake State Park sits in southeastern Arizona's scenic rolling hills about 12 miles southwest of the town of Patagonia. The 265-acre lake serves as the centerpiece, supporting bass, crappie, bluegill, catfish, and seasonally stocked trout. The campground spreads across the hillside above the water, giving most sites lake views. The main campground contains 105 developed sites with electric hookups ranging from 20 to 50 amp service, plus water connections. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring/grill, with select sites featuring ramadas for shade. Two non-electric sites (22-foot maximum length) offer a more primitive option. For those seeking seclusion, 12 boat-in sites along the shoreline are accessible only by water and equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and portable restrooms. Two accessible restroom and shower buildings serve overnight campers at no extra charge. A centrally located dump station is available for RVs. The park's marina offers boat rentals, while the camp store sells fishing licenses, firewood, ice, groceries, and camping supplies. A sandy beach provides swimming access, though pets are not permitted on the beach itself. The Sonoita Creek Trail offers hiking through riparian habitat where whitetail deer and great blue herons are common sights.
