The cabin is open year-round and available for reservations via Recreation.gov. Check-in is after 2:00 p.m. and check-out is before 12:00 p.m. Fire danger is currently very high but no fire restrictions are in effect. Firewood is provided but may need splitting.

About
Kent Springs Cabin offers a unique lodging experience in the Coronado National Forest, situated 15 miles southeast of Green Valley, Arizona and less than an hour from Tucson. The spacious 1,500-square-foot cabin accommodates up to 8 guests and features two bedrooms, one full bathroom with flush toilet, two living rooms with a fireplace, and a fully-equipped kitchen with electric range/oven, refrigerator, and microwave. A large deck overlooks a seasonal creek, providing excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. Madera Canyon is internationally recognized as one of North America's premier birding destinations, with over 256 documented species including 15 species of hummingbirds, Sulphur-bellied Flycatcher, Flame-colored Tanager, and 36 wood warbler species. The Santa Rita Mountains span four life zones from desert to alpine, supporting diverse plant and animal communities including white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, coati, and 16 bat species. Hiking trails range from paved accessible paths to strenuous routes leading to 9,453-foot Mt. Wrightson. Guests must bring their own food, sleeping bags or linens, towels, dish soap, matches, first aid kit, toilet paper, and garbage bags. The cabin has potable water, electricity, and is largely wheelchair accessible. Access is via a locked gate with combination provided upon booking; high-clearance vehicles are recommended though passenger cars can navigate the road. Cell phone coverage is unreliable.
Directions
From the intersection of I-10 and I-19 in Tucson, travel south on I-19 about 35 miles to the Continental Road exit (Exit 63) in Green Valley. Turn left (east) onto Continental Road and go approximately 1 mile to the junction with Madera Canyon/White House Canyon Road. Turn right (southeast) and travel approximately 13-14 miles into Madera Canyon, staying on the paved road. The signed access road to the cabin is the second left past Madera Kubo Bed and Breakfast.
