About

For campers seeking a more secluded lakeside experience, Patagonia Lake State Park offers 12 boat-in campsites scattered around the perimeter of the 265-acre lake. These sites are accessible only by watercraft and provide a peaceful escape from the main campground area. Each boat-in site is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring, and most sites have portable restrooms nearby. The lake itself is popular for fishing, with bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish available, as well as water skiing and other water recreation. Boat-in campsites can be reserved in advance online or by phone, making them a reliable option for those with their own watercraft or willing to rent from the Patagonia Marina and Boat Rental located in the park. Quiet hours are enforced from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m., meaning no generators, music, or loud voices during these times. The park gates close from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., though camping guests with reservations can make arrangements for late arrival by calling before 4:30 p.m. Check-in time is 2 p.m. and check-out is 12 noon.
