About

Panjab Campground is a quiet, primitive campground nestled along the Tucannon River in the Umatilla National Forest. The area is popular for hunting, hiking, swimming, bicycling, and mushrooming. Just beyond the campground lies the trailhead for Rattlesnake Trail #3129, which provides access into the Wenaha-Tucannon Wilderness. The campground offers basic amenities including a vault toilet and parking. No potable water is available, so campers must bring their own supply. Stock camping is not permitted at Panjab Campground; equestrians should use the Panjab Trailhead facilities located 3 miles up Forest Service Road 4713. Sites are first-come, first-served at $8 per night per vehicle, with a $5 fee for additional vehicles beyond the two-vehicle-per-site limit. Wilderness restrictions apply to activities within the adjacent Wenaha-Tucannon Wilderness.
