About
Blue Ridge Park sits on the north shore of Dierks Lake, a 1,360-acre Army Corps reservoir formed by damming the Saline River. The campground occupies a secluded, wooded setting within the Howard County Wildlife Management Area, making it a prime base for anglers chasing crappie and largemouth bass in the flooded standing timber that characterizes the upper lake. Two concrete boat ramps launch directly into some of the best crappie water in southwest Arkansas.
The 21 campsites feature 50-amp electric hookups and water connections at each site, along with fire rings and picnic tables. Centrally located flush restrooms and a shower house serve the loop, and a dump station is available on-site. A designated swim beach and playground make the area family-friendly, while nearby public hunting lands (nearly 600 acres) draw deer, quail, dove, and waterfowl hunters in season.
Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro is about 30 miles east, offering a unique day trip where visitors can dig for and keep any diamonds they find. Hot Springs National Park, with its historic bathhouses and restaurants, is roughly an hour's drive northeast.
