About
Blue Ridge Park campground offers a natural, wooded setting on the north end of Dierks Lake in southwestern Arkansas. Located in the heart of the Howard County Wildlife Management Area, this 21-site campground provides electric hookups and is particularly popular during spring and fall when fishing and hunting peak. The campground sits along the Saline River where flooded timberlands create exceptional crappie habitat, earning the area a reputation as crappie country among local anglers.
The 1,360-acre Dierks Lake offers excellent opportunities for boating, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and fishing for bass and crappie. Two boat ramps at the campground provide convenient water access. The surrounding area includes nearly 600 acres of public hunting lands where hunters pursue white-tail deer, bobwhite quail, mourning dove, grey and fox squirrel, cottontail rabbit, and various waterfowl species. The campground includes flush toilets, showers, a playground, and a swim beach.
Nearby attractions include Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro (30 miles away), where visitors can hunt for diamonds and keep what they find, and Hot Springs National Park, about an hour's drive north. The campground is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
