About
Located in the heart of Bears Ears country, Natural Bridges Campground provides a base for exploring one of Utah's most remote national monuments. The campground's 13 sites are nestled among pinyon pine and juniper trees, offering privacy while preserving views of the wide desert sky. At 6,500 feet elevation, expect significant temperature swings: summer highs can exceed 100°F while winter lows drop well below freezing. The monument protects three massive natural bridges (Sipapu, Kachina, and Owachomo) viewable from overlooks along the nine-mile scenic drive or via hiking trails that descend into White and Armstrong canyons. As the world's first International Dark Sky Park, Natural Bridges offers exceptional stargazing opportunities with some of the darkest skies in the country. The campground is primitive with vault toilets but no potable water, showers, or hookups. Each site accommodates up to 8 people, 2 tents, and 2 vehicles with a strict 26-foot combined vehicle/trailer length limit. Generator use is restricted to 8-10am and 4-8pm. The visitor center is a quarter-mile walk from the campground.
