About

Mt. Adams Horse Camp is a purpose-built equestrian facility located at the base of Mount Adams in Gifford Pinchot National Forest. The campground occupies a pleasant wooded setting with each site equipped with a highline for securing horses. A loading ramp and stock water are available, though the water is not potable for human consumption. Campers must bring their own drinking water. An open meadow adjacent to the main campground area provides overflow camping space and offers striking views of Mount Adams. The camp serves as a staging point for a 20-mile trail system that provides access into Mt. Adams Wilderness, where standard wilderness regulations apply. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Single sites are $15 per night with an additional $5 for extra vehicles. Interagency Senior and Access pass holders receive a 50% discount on single site fees. Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
