WHERE...Moffat, Routt, Jackson, Grand, Rio Blanco, Garfield, Eagle, Summit, Gilpin, Clear Creek, Mesa, Pitkin, Lake, Park, Delta, Gunnison, Chaffee, Montrose, Ouray, San Miguel, Dolores, and northern parts of Montezuma and Saguache Counties. Locations include, but are not limited to Craig, Steamboat Springs, Walden, Granby, Hot Sulphur Springs, Kremmling, Meeker, Rangely, Glenwood Springs, Eagle, Vail, Breckenridge, Central City, Georgetown, Grand Junction, Aspen, Leadville, Fairplay, Delta, Gunnison, Buena Vista, Salida, Montrose, Nucla, Ouray, Telluride, Dove Creek, and Saguache. WHEN...900 AM Wednesday July 01 to 900 AM Thursday July 02 IMPACTS...Areas downwind of large fires in southwestern Colorado and southeastern Utah could have periods of moderate to heavy smoke through at least Thursday morning. About

Mosca Campground is a rustic, first-come, first-served facility located on Spring Creek Reservoir in Colorado's Gunnison National Forest. The campground provides 16 sites spread along the reservoir banks, making it an ideal base for fishing, boating, and water recreation. A boat ramp is located within the campground for easy water access. The area surrounding Mosca offers diverse recreation opportunities including mountain biking, hiking, and an extensive network of four-wheel drive roads and trails. The campground sees light usage, providing a quieter camping experience compared to more popular destinations in the region. Amenities are basic: vault toilets are available, but campers must bring their own drinking water as no potable water is provided on site. Firewood bundles are available for purchase. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Directions

From Gunnison, go north on CO 135 to Almont. Turn right on County Road 742 and travel 6 miles to Forest Road 744. Turn left on FR 744 (Spring Creek Road) and drive 12 miles to the campground.
