Weed Free Forage Products

The purpose of this Order is to prevent the introduction or spread of noxious weeds.

About

Cement Creek Campground sits in a quiet, narrow aspen valley within the Gunnison National Forest, roughly 15 miles from the mountain town of Crested Butte. This area receives relatively low use compared to other nearby campgrounds, making it an appealing option for those seeking solitude. The 13 campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis only, with no advance reservations accepted. The campground offers basic amenities including vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings at each site. A dumpster is provided for trash disposal. There is no potable water available, so campers should bring an adequate supply. Firewood bundles can be purchased on-site for $10. Recreation opportunities abound in the surrounding area. Cement Creek provides fishing access, while nearby trails accommodate hiking, mountain biking, and OHV use. The area is also known for spelunking opportunities. Campfires are permitted only in the metal fire rings provided by the Forest Service, per current fire restrictions in the Crested Butte area.

Directions

From Crested Butte, drive 7.5 miles southeast on Highway 135 to Cement Creek Road (Forest Road 740). Turn left onto FR 740 and travel 4 miles to the campground.
