About

Lundy Canyon Campground is a scenic seasonal campground operated by Mono County Public Works at an elevation of 7,660 feet. Located in beautiful Lundy Canyon near Lee Vining, the campground features 36 first-come, first-served sites nestled among picturesque aspen groves along the banks of Mill Creek. The area is known for spectacular fall colors, typically peaking in October. The campground provides basic amenities including restrooms, picnic tables, fire rings, and bear boxes at every site for secure food storage. Non-potable spring-fed water is available on-site, so campers should bring their own drinking water or be prepared to treat water. Trash and recycling bins are provided. Due to its remote location, campsite fees are collected in cash only at the metal fee pedestal near the entrance. Operating under a lease from Southern California Edison since 1961, this county-operated campground offers a peaceful retreat in the Eastern Sierra. The campground should not be confused with the nearby Lundy Lake Resort or Lundy Lake Campground, which are separate facilities.
