About

Lolo Creek Campground and Picnic Area occupies 5 acres of forested land adjacent to Lolo Creek in western Montana's Lolo National Forest. The 17 campsites are set in thick timber, providing reasonable seclusion despite the campground's proximity to Highway 12. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table, with vault toilets and potable water from a hand pump available. Maximum recommended trailer length is 30 feet based on the parking spur sizes. The campground's location along the historic Lewis and Clark and Nez Perce National Historic Trail makes it appealing to history enthusiasts. Lolo Hot Springs commercial resort is within 10 miles, and the Lolo Pass Visitor Center is 19 miles west. Activities include fishing in Lolo Creek, hiking nearby trails, and winter cross-country skiing and snowmobiling in the surrounding area. Bear safety protocols are in effect under the Northern Continental Divide Ecosystem Food/Wildlife Attractant Storage Order. Campers must properly store all food and wildlife attractants.
