About

Little Bear Spring Trail Camp is a primitive backcountry camping site along the Pacific Crest Trail in the San Bernardino National Forest, managed by the U.S. Forest Service. Situated at an elevation of 6,588 feet near the Big Bear area, this hike-in only destination serves both hikers and equestrians traveling the PCT. The camp offers minimal but essential amenities: one picnic table, a fire ring, and a vault toilet. For equestrian users, the site includes non-potable water access, a water trough, and pipe horse corrals for stock. Campers must pack in all drinking water and supplies, and pack out all trash. Dogs must be kept on leash no longer than six feet at all times. As a backcountry site accessible only by trail, this camp provides a quiet retreat for PCT through-hikers and backpackers seeking a peaceful mountain experience. The location offers access to the surrounding wilderness and trail network in the San Bernardino National Forest.

Directions
