LITTLE BEAR SPRING TRAIL CAMP
Open for backcountry camping. No reservations required. Hike-in access only via the Pacific Crest Trail.
About
Little Bear Springs PCT Trail Camp is a primitive backcountry campsite situated along the Pacific Crest Trail in the Mountaintop Ranger District of San Bernardino National Forest. At 6,588 feet elevation, this hike-in-only camp offers a rustic stopping point for PCT thru-hikers and section hikers traversing the Onyx Peak to Holcomb Creek corridor. The camp provides basic amenities including a single picnic table, fire ring, and vault restroom. A non-potable water source is available on site. Equestrian visitors will find a water trough and pipe horse corrals, making this a viable overnight option for horseback riders as well. As a primitive trail camp, visitors should come prepared with their own potable water and supplies. Dogs are permitted but must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet.
Directions
Access the campground via Coxey Road (Forest Road 3N14) from Fawnskin, California. The trailhead is located along the Pacific Crest Trail, south of Holcomb Creek Road.
