About
Lindbergh Lake Campground is a small, first-come, first-served campground in the Swan Valley of Flathead National Forest. Located approximately nine miles south of Condon along Forest Road 79, the campground provides direct access to the pristine waters of Lindbergh Lake. The 11 designated campsites are equipped with fire rings and bear-resistant food storage boxes, with vault toilets available on site. No potable water is provided, so campers must bring an adequate supply. The campground serves as a gateway to both water-based recreation and backcountry exploration. Fishing, swimming, and boating are popular activities on the lake, and a boat ramp is located nearby. A hiking trail departs from the campground and follows the western shoreline of the lake, offering scenic views of the surrounding Mission Mountains Wilderness. Managed by Big Sky Recreation Company during the summer season, the campground operates on a 16-day stay limit with quiet hours from 6 PM to 10 AM. Food storage is mandatory for all human and stock food, garbage, and attractants due to the area's bear activity. The campground is wheelchair accessible, though the maximum recommended trailer length is 20 feet due to site configurations and access road conditions.
