The campground is currently closed and typically opens mid-May through late September. For 2026, the RV dump station is closed for the season, though potable water remains available. Flush restrooms in the Bay Loop are closed with portable restrooms provided. Food storage order in effect due to bear activity. 16-day stay limit applies.

Starting 2025, Swan and Holland Lake Group site will require a non-refundable down payment. Reservations will require a down payment equal to 50% of the full nightly rate. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days prior to check-in. The Recreation.gov site will send the guest up to two reminder emails with links to facilitate payment. Those emails are sent seven days and 24 hours before the 30 day deadline. Down payments are non-refundable. If you do not complete the payment by the 30 day deadline, your reservation will be cancelled and the down payment forfeited.

Holland Lake Campground is located on the shores of Holland Lake in the Swan Valley of northwest Montana at 4,050 feet elevation. The campground is nestled among Tamarack, Ponderosa pine, and Douglas fir trees, with some sites close to the 416-acre lake and others set back on higher ground. The area is home to diverse wildlife including grizzly and black bear. The campground features 38 individual sites suitable for tent and RV camping, with 24 sites reservable and 14 available first-come, first-served. A group site accommodates larger parties. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. Vault toilets and potable water are provided. A boat ramp with trailer parking allows access to the lake for boating, water skiing, and fishing for trout and Kokanee salmon. Paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes are available for rent. The trailhead for the Holland Falls National Recreation Trail begins near the campground. This popular 1.6-mile trail climbs 750 feet along the lake shoreline to the base of Holland Falls waterfall. The campground is managed by Big Sky Recreation Company during the summer season, with reservations available through Recreation.gov.

Directions

From Highway 83, turn east on Holland Lake Road approximately 7 miles south of Condon or 20 miles north of Seeley Lake. Travel 3.5 miles to the intersection with Owl Creek Loop Road. Follow Holland Lake Road to the left; the campground entrance is a short distance down the road.
