About
Holland Lake Campground is located at 4,050 feet elevation on the shores of Holland Lake in northwest Montana's Swan Valley within the Flathead National Forest. The campground features 38 individual sites spread across two loops, with some sites close to the 416-acre lake and others positioned further back or higher on the bank. Twenty-four sites are available for advance reservation while 14 sites operate on a first-come, first-served basis. The campground provides excellent access to the Holland Falls National Recreation Trail, an easy 1.6-mile hike that climbs 750 feet along the lake's shoreline to the base of Holland Falls waterfall. Holland Lake is popular for boating, water skiing, and fishing for various species of trout and Kokanee salmon. A boat ramp and trailer parking are available at the campground. Paddleboard, kayak, and canoe rentals are offered nearby. The campground sits among Tamarack, Ponderosa pine, and Douglas fir trees, creating a forested mountain setting. Wildlife including grizzly and black bears inhabit the area, and food storage orders are in effect. The nearest town is Seeley Lake, located 25 miles south of the campground. The campground is managed by Big Sky Recreation Company, a concessionaire, during the operating season.
