Kentucky Horse Park Campground is a premier equine-themed destination located in Lexington, Kentucky, approximately 9 miles from downtown. Situated on over 1,200 acres of Kentucky's famous Bluegrass country, the campground provides 260 spacious paved campsites with 55-foot back-in pads. All standard electric sites feature water and 20, 30, or 50 amp electric service, fire rings, and picnic tables. Pull-through sites are available for an additional fee. The campground offers extensive amenities including two modern bathhouses with flush toilets and showers, two dump stations near the front entrance, two laundry facilities, and a well-stocked camp store with groceries, ice, firewood, RV supplies, and souvenirs. Free WiFi is available throughout the campground via the KHP Campground network. A seasonal junior Olympic-sized swimming pool, tennis courts, volleyball and basketball courts, playgrounds, horseshoe pits, and a dog park provide ample recreation opportunities. As part of Kentucky Horse Park, campers enjoy access to world-class equine attractions including the International Museum of the Horse, daily horse shows, and horseback riding trails. A shuttle service operates during summer months to transport guests around the park. The campground operates year-round, though sites B77-B130 and D207-D260 (loops B and D) are the only sites available during winter season. Water at individual sites is turned off from mid-November through mid-March due to freezing temperatures.

Directions

From I-75, take Exit 120 (Iron Works Pike). The park is located at 4089 Iron Works Pike, approximately 3 miles south of Georgetown and 9 miles north of downtown Lexington.
