Jimmie Davis State Park, located 45 minutes southwest of Monroe provides 68 paved campsites, 17 deluxe cabins that were renovated in 2021, 2 lodges, 4 group camp dorms with conference center, a picnic area, 2 boat launches and boat docks, 3 covered pavilions, a swimming beach with splash pad and playground, fishing pier and cleaning stations. The two-bedroom deluxe cabins sleep up to 8 people with 1 queen size bed, 1 queen size sleeper sofa and 2 sets of bunk beds, bathroom, kitchen with utensils and cookware, living room and screened in porch. Two four-bedroom lodges that sleeps up to 14 people with 2 queen size beds, 1 sleeper sofa, and 4 bunks each, kitchen with utensils and cookware, a large living room with wood-burning fireplace, satellite television and screened in porch. The Group Camp consist of four separate dorms with 8 individual rooms per dorm with a total sleep capacity of 124 people, a dining hall that includes a full commercial kitchen and basic cookware. The Park has 68 improved concrete campsites and pads, picnic tables, fire rings or grills are provided. A comfort station is provided for campers and includes restrooms, showers, and laundromat. Three covered pavilions with tables and grill, running water and electric.
