* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of Southwest California, including the following counties, Riverside and San Diego. * WHEN...Until 420 PM PDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 121 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.25 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 1.25 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Idyllwild Campground sits at the heart of Mount San Jacinto State Park in the charming mountain town of Idyllwild along Highway 243. This 28-site campground offers a range of camping options from basic tent sites to full hookup RV sites with water, electric, and sewer connections. The Idyllwild Ranger Station and park headquarters are conveniently located at the campground entrance. The campground features modern amenities including flush toilets, coin-operated showers, and drinking water spigots throughout. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring or barbecue. A dump station is available for RV campers. The campground also has a day-use picnic area, amphitheater, and nature trail. Mount San Jacinto State Park offers over 50 miles of hiking trails and serves as the gateway to the San Jacinto Wilderness. Dogs are welcome in the campground but are prohibited in wilderness areas. The town of Idyllwild provides easy access to restaurants, shops, and local attractions just a short walk from camp.

From Highway 243, the campground is located at 25905 Highway 243 in Idyllwild. The park headquarters and ranger station are at the campground entrance.
