About

Idyllwild Campground is a developed campground operated by California State Parks within Mount San Jacinto State Park. Located directly in the town of Idyllwild, the campground offers convenient access to local shops and restaurants while providing a comfortable base for mountain recreation. The park headquarters and Idyllwild Ranger Station are located at the campground entrance. The campground features 28 sites with various configurations including hike/bike sites, tent sites, sites with electric hookups, and sites with full hookups (water, electric, and sewer). Modern amenities include water spigots, flush toilets, and coin-operated showers. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring or barbecue. The campground also features a day-use picnic area, amphitheater, and nature trail. The campground accommodates RVs and trailers up to 24 feet in length and allows a maximum of two vehicles and eight people per site. Reservations are available through ReserveCalifornia.com. The location provides access to Mount San Jacinto State Park's extensive trail system and wilderness areas, making it an ideal base for hiking, rock climbing, and exploring the San Jacinto Mountains.
