Green Valley Campground is a family-friendly campground located at 4,000 feet elevation in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, nestled within oak woodlands with a sprinkling of pines and meadows. The campground features 81 sites with a creek running through the middle, providing a serene natural setting. The adjacent day-use area offers sets of cascades and shallow pools, ideal for water play during warmer months. The campground serves as an excellent base for exploring the park's extensive trail system, with easy access to waterfall hikes and the Pine Ridge trailhead originating near the campground. Cuyamaca Rancho State Park spans 24,677 acres and offers over 100 miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails. The park features diverse landscapes ranging from oak woodlands to mountain peaks, with spectacular views of the Pacific coastline, Colorado Desert, and beyond. Wildlife viewing opportunities abound, and the park contains exhibits about Native Americans, gold mining, and natural history. The campground is located approximately 50 miles east of San Diego and 15 miles south of the historic town of Julian.
