About
Green Valley Campground occupies a scenic setting at 7,200 feet elevation in the San Bernardino National Forest, nestled among pine, fir, and cedar trees with open spaces of shrubs and grassy meadows. The campground overlooks a seasonal mountain creek and provides a peaceful base for exploring the surrounding mountains between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear Lake. The campground offers 36 sites, with 26 available by reservation through Recreation.gov and 11 on a first-come, first-served basis. Each site includes a picnic table and campfire ring with grill. Flush toilets are provided, though potable water may not be available and campers should bring their own supply. The campground does not have showers or hookups. Green Valley Lake, approximately one mile away, is renowned for its trout fishing and also offers boating and swimming. The high-elevation lake provides access to hiking trails in the area. Bear activity is present in the area, and proper food storage is required.
