About

Greek Creek Campground is nestled in scenic Gallatin Canyon at 5,600 feet elevation, 30 miles south of Bozeman in the Custer Gallatin National Forest. The campground features 16 campsites surrounded by a beautiful forest of spruce, fir, and cottonwood trees, with paved roads and gravel parking spurs. Seven sites are ADA accessible. The campground sits just off Highway 191, providing easy access to the Gallatin River where anglers can fish for rainbow, brown, brook, and cutthroat trout, whitefish, and Arctic grayling. The river also offers excellent rafting and kayaking opportunities. Hikers can explore nearby trails including Swan Creek Trail at the adjacent Swan Creek Campground and Golden Trout Lakes Trail about six miles south near Portal Creek Road. The Gallatin Canyon is home to diverse wildlife including bald eagles, bighorn sheep, moose, elk, mountain goats, deer, and coyote. Black and grizzly bears also inhabit the area, requiring proper food storage in approved containers. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring, and the campground provides vault toilets, hand-pump drinking water, and trash collection.
