About

Greek Creek Campground is located in the Bozeman Ranger District of the Custer Gallatin National Forest, perched at 5,600 feet elevation in scenic Gallatin Canyon. The 14 single-family sites are divided between two loops (Hill and Rive), set within a beautiful forest of spruce, fir, and cottonwood trees. Each site includes a picnic table and campfire ring, with gravel parking spurs averaging 30 by 60 feet and paved internal roads. The campground provides vault toilets, potable drinking water from a hand pump, and trash collection. Two sites are ADA accessible with compliant facilities. Firewood is available for purchase. There are no hookups, dump station, or showers. The Gallatin River runs nearby, offering excellent fishing for rainbow, brown, brook, and cutthroat trout, as well as whitefish and Arctic grayling. Rafting and kayaking are popular. Hiking trails abound in the canyon, including the Swan Creek Trail at the adjacent campground and Golden Trout Lakes Trail six miles south. Wildlife viewing opportunities include bald eagles, bighorn sheep, moose, elk, mountain goats, deer, and coyotes. Black bears and grizzly bears inhabit the canyon, so all food must be stored in approved containers.
