About
Located in the South Platte Ranger District of Pike National Forest, Goose Creek Campground is an oasis of green that survived the Hayman Fire. At 7,723 feet elevation and approximately two hours southwest of Denver, the campground offers 10 developed sites suitable for tents and RVs along the year-round flowing Goose Creek. The campground provides basic amenities including vault toilets, potable water from a hand pump, fire rings, and picnic tables. There are no hookups, dump station, or showers. Each site accommodates up to 8 people with 2 tents and 2 vehicles or 1 RV. Dogs are welcome but must remain leashed. The Goose Creek Trailhead nearby provides access to the Lost Creek Wilderness via the Hankins Pass #630 and Goose Creek #612 trails, making this a popular basecamp for wilderness hikers. Note that camping at the trailhead itself is prohibited. Recreational opportunities include fishing in Goose Creek, hiking, mountain biking, and scenic drives through the surrounding landscape.
